N3 Special Report: Wii Music

You could feel the excitement as a lone cyber drum set played in the darkness, but what got my heart racing was the appearance of Shigeru Miyamoto himself–on a Wiimote saxophone! Afterwards, Miyamoto-sama elaborated that Wii Music was not to judge on how well you did, just to have fun doing it. He then demoed some of over 50 avaliable instruments; the saxophone from before, a fiddle, a guitar, and a taiko drum. The orchestra seen before is there, as well as a handbell choir and a number of other modes. In addition, you can also record, play, and share videos of your performances.

To conclude, the entire Nintendo staff proceeded to perform a rendition of the Mario theme for the crowd… considering it was their first time, they all did very well!

Maybe I ought to learn to play the Eight Melodies on a Wii Flute 😉
