Xbox Live XNA Games Coming Soon

At E3 last week Microsoft told us how the games made by gamers that downloaded the Microsoft XNA studio will been seeing a release soon. Incase you’ve been out of the loop, XNA studio acts as a developers tool kit and allows members of the gaming community to try their hand at creating a playable Xbox 360 game.

Well now more details have be revealed. Alongside the Xbox Live Arcade will by a new tab called XNA Community Games. Gamers will be able to browse, demo, and purchase games much like the aracde games. The creators will have the option of charging 200, 400 or 800 Microsoft Points for their games, although it will reportedly be also dictated by the size of the game. The bigger the game is, the higher the price. At launch, none of the games will be free although this may change at a later date.

XNA users that have their games up for sale will recieve 70% of the game’s sales revenue, whilest featured games will only recieve about 20%, but will benefit from higher sales. The games that are featured are also not picked by Microsoft, but by the community.

You can expect to see these games on Xbox Live this winter.
