Activision To Triple Guitar Hero Releases By 2010

September 15, 2008 by William Saw Multiplatform 2 Comments

Activision Blizzard plans to triple the amount of Guitar Hero titles and content by 2010.

The expansion extends to retail titles and downloadable content for the franchise and indicates Activision plans to double the amount of Guitar Hero releases in 2009.

This idea will be pragmatically enacted by bringing in more developers and hardware. Last week, Activision announced its acquision of FreeStyleGames which is working on “localized downloadable content” for Guitar Hero.

The upcoming game in the series, Guitar Hero: World Tour is set for a October 26th release on PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii.
