Hideo Kojima receives lifetime achievement award

Hideo Kojima was awarded for his lifetime achievement at the 2008 MTV Video Game Awards. The father of the Metal Gear series mainly got the award for the work he did in the last ten years. He received it as recognition for establishing the modern 3D stealth genre and for creating a story that truly had deep meaning. He created a genre and a new way to play games and introduced us to Solid Snake’s tale, a tale of war, peace, people, heroes and ideals that will be forever remembered by gamers. Hideo Kojima’s name and his creation, the Metal Gear series have been forever written into the Grand Book of Video Gaming, and now received the recognition they deserve.
