Results from last nights big gaming night! GoW2 style.

November 22, 2008 by shadowjak 360 1 Comment

Last night, we got tons of messages from people who wanted to play GoW2 with my favorite 360 editor, me! Here’s a summary of what happened:

Players:
shadowjak88
Cuddlesthebearx
Xx Kelnozz xX
Shoik
x S T R I F E

Summary/Results:
To start off, we went into matchmaking hoping to play King of the Hill. Thanks to the lucky stars, it was the first we played. A man by the name of shadowjak88 may have failed the whole first game due to debating (debate below), but managed to pull off the play of the day (also below!). Kelnozz was definitely the MVP, and we thought we would move on to another king of the hill game.. but something suddenly game up! Shoik got into a massive arguement with a player who accused him of failing with shotgun! As any and every GoW player knows, when you call out another player’s weapon skill you two must duel one on one with said weapon. Now, Shoik really isn’t the best, but he has his moments and daaaaaymn was this one of his moments. They went first to five kills and they were neck and neck to the point it went down to one more round. To give a nice summary: they met in the center of all mighty gridlock shotguning it to the death, but this guy could not accept losing so he whipped out his chainsaw and ran at poor Shoik! Don’t fret though, Shoik’s quick thinking told him to roll back and plant a smoke mine. It worked. The man fell right on his arse, and shoik took advantage of his by flanking around the rear side of the destroyed car. Now being behind his adversary, he shot him to pieces and tossed them into a fire. Shoik wins. Yay Shoik! We proceeded by dishing out massive trash talk then heading back into matchmaking for another good two hours where laughs were exchanged, flaming was tolerated, ranks rose, and the debating raged on.

Memorable Moments

-The play of the day: The play of the day was done is the very first game we had of King of the Hill. The rounds first to three wins and the current score was two rounds to two rounds with noe team at 118/120(my team) points and the other at 110/120 points. Honestly, it looked bad, their team just got an extermination(all players dead) on us and were racking up points. We could all here the siren gonig off that they were about to win, but luckily for us, I respawned first. Running into the arcade where the hill resided along with four campers, I knew I was boned. I rolled in and pop-shotted one of them and two-pieced another. Don’t cheer yet, their were still two remaining as I was shouting: ‘headshot, double kill!’ I turned around and hard aimed on one of them, thus downing him. His friend charged at me from behind, I roleld back and took him out and kileld the downed teamate in one shot. Overkill. We win.

-Shoik’s victory:…. Read above…..

-The deabte: Now before we even started playing, we all got into a party(thank you new XBL feature). When on the dashboard, you can see everyone in your party’s gamerpictures. Two of our gamepictures just happened to be from fighter gamings and just happened to be from different fighting games. So I stupidly said, “Hey Cuddles, it looks like our gamerpicutres are about to duel, who do you think would win? Akuma or Scorpion?” Not to tell you the sides, but we got in a heated debated full of joke shouting, random messages, jackie chan abusing, luizprower asking, etc, you know the things needs for a character debate. We desperately could not come up with an answer so I ask all of you to comment: Who would win? Akuma or Scorpion? Comment below.

Microtastic Reviews: Zombie Edition

Plants vs Zombies
Developer: Popcap Games
Price: $3 Dollars
Platform: iPhone
Genre: Tower Defense
There is something delightful about the charming simplicity of Popcap’s titles, and Plants vs Zombies continues this legacy. Much like Peggle and any of its past franchises, Plants vs Zombies takes a single round to comprehend all of its basic rules. Though it never becomes difficult [...]

Matt Hazard: Blood Bath & Beyond Review

The original Matt Hazard had the potential to be a great game, good voice work with the likes of Neil Patrick Harris and Will Arnett. A brilliant backstory and marketing campaign which broke the fourth wall entirely, and the story while thin was entertaining and amusing. The sole problem came in the gameplay department which [...]

SB Plays The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

When the newest entry in the beloved Zelda series was announced earlier this year, people were both excited and skeptical. How well would a train in the Zeldaverse go over with fans? Would the gameplay be a replay of Phantom Hourglass, with its infamously numerous trips through the Temple of the Ocean King?
Now that the [...]
