First Public Demo of Gaikai is Shown

July 1, 2009 by William Saw PC No Comments

In the video demo you are about to see, David Perry describes that he’s not had to install anything. Gaikai is running directly in Firefox from Windows Vista and Flash.

He notes that the travel distance is around 800 miles for this particular demo and his bandwidth is “mostly sub 1 megabit across all games,” which he says works with WiFi, works with netbooks with no 3D cards, etc.

This cloud-based computing could have an impact on our future of games. For anyone interested, IndustryGamers has reported that Perry is currently looking for closed beta testers especially to those that live in California. Check out gaikai.com for more info.
