The Next Zelda: New Clues

July 19, 2009 by SparklingBlue Nintendo No Comments

While breaking in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, I saw earthbounding had a new video concerning Zelda….

New Clues

What we learn:

–We know a new Tingle game is on the way: Tingle’s Love Balloon Trip
–GoNintendo uncovered some info before
–A Tingle DSiWare pack of 5 apps is also availiable in Japan for 500 Nintendo Points
–In an interview with Nintendo Power, Miyamoto-sama revealed some technical info on New Zelda Wii
–Will it be very different from what we’ve seen in the past? No. Is this a good thing? Miyamoto-sama explained that the most important part of any Zelda game is the things Link is able to do–in other words, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”
–Concerning the “sword being” in the picture, it will play an important role in the story. Miyamoto-sama’s answer to this question appears to point to this Zelda explaining the origin of the Master Sword
–Towards the end of the interview, Nintendo Power asked Miyamoto if he was aiming to personalize the game for each player. This could mean that New Zelda Wii will in fact be set in Hyrule. There is still a chance it could be set elsewhere. In addition, the dungeons could be a throwback to past games.
–The experience will not include custom costumes, parts, or items, however.
–It is entirely possible that there is no linear timeline to the Zelda series–at least if you ask Aonuma and Miyamoto

There is something delightful about the charming simplicity of Popcap’s titles, and Plants vs Zombies continues this legacy. Much like Peggle and any of its past franchises, Plants vs Zombies takes a single round to comprehend all of its basic rules. Though it never becomes difficult [...]

Matt Hazard: Blood Bath & Beyond Review

The original Matt Hazard had the potential to be a great game, good voice work with the likes of Neil Patrick Harris and Will Arnett. A brilliant backstory and marketing campaign which broke the fourth wall entirely, and the story while thin was entertaining and amusing. The sole problem came in the gameplay department which [...]

SB Plays The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

When the newest entry in the beloved Zelda series was announced earlier this year, people were both excited and skeptical. How well would a train in the Zeldaverse go over with fans? Would the gameplay be a replay of Phantom Hourglass, with its infamously numerous trips through the Temple of the Ocean King?
Now that the [...]
