NewsVine – 4th February 2010

It’s time for another day today in the world of gaming, so I can get back and play more Dragon Age, or finally get around to watching The Wire, I’m still undecided.

Project Needlemouse is Sonic 4

That’s right we are finally seeing a 2D console Sonic after 16 years of complete shit. We all need to take it with grain of salt since well it’s been 16 years since the last good Sonic game. Sonic 4 will be coming to the PS3, 360 and Wii this summer. I want to hear more before we can judge, but Sonic Unleashed looked good at first.

Splinter Cell: Conviction Dated Set in Stone

Quite literally. IGN received a date for the next Splinter Cell written on a stone. The date is 13th April. I must say that is awesome on Ubisoft’s part, I love bad jokes like that. It’s good to see they have a sense of humour about all the delays. Kudos to you. With this coming in April it’s looking like one of the best years of gaming yet. So many good games have come within the first few months of this year.

Baby boys Gold Subscription

A guy wonders why his bank account has been charged $40. It appears his son had turned on the Xbox 360 and had pressed A 3 times which then caused him to buy a subscription. Quite a humourous outcome for Microsoft making the 360 user friendly. Maybe that was their secret plan all along, make little kids buy Xbox Live for their dads by pressing A A A. Well played Microsoft well played.

Sony Announce Eyepet 2

I haven’t really looked into this game much and it hasn’t even been released in America but but Sony has announced that a second title is in the making. Just don’t expect it this year. I guess it sold decently enough in Europe to warrant a sequel.

Team Fortress 2 Update

A new update will add a new game mode called Highlander. Each team will have 9 players but the catch is that you can only have 1 of each class. Sounds like an interesting mode. I wonder how they decide who can pick their class first.
