The Eyeborg Examines How Close We Are to Deus Ex’s World

A recently released documentary directed and narrated by ‘The Eyeborg’, Rob Spence (he has a camera for an eye!), is exploring just how close we are to the types of human augmentation that we’ve seen in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Traveling around the world, Spence investigates the many areas of human prosthetics, including interviewing other cyborgs like himself. Check out the video after the break.

The documentary showcases a lot of varying prosthetics that honestly surprised me how advanced they were. From augmented reality masks to switchable hands and feet, the ‘Eyeborg’ documentary shows us just how close we actually are to a future similar to Deus Ex.

Those interested in more about Eyeborg can check out their website here.

Also, Eyepatch!

WARNING: THE FIRST 15 OR SO SECONDS CONTAINS FOOTAGE OF AN EYE OPERATION. IF YOU ARE SQUEAMISH, PLEASE DO NOT LOOK. THE REST OF THE VIDEO IS OKAY BUT WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK.
