UPDATE: The server issues that plagued the launch of 5Th Cell’s 3rd person shoother have been fixed and the game will be available for purchase again soon.
Hybrid, the latest Summer of Arcade game, was released to the Xbox 360 Marketplace early this morning and players are still unable to connect to the games servers.
Hybrid is a creative 3rd person shooter where players can only move while in cover and while flying to and from cover locations. It is also only playable online. 5TH Cell developer Jeremiah acknowledged the server issues and quickly posted a statement on their official forums informing fans that they are working to fix it. A few hours later the game was pulled from the marketplace and another post was made to their Facebook page saying:
“We have identified a problem and are in the process of finding a solution. We will make the game available as soon as we can and apologize for the inconvenience.”
The latest update comes at 6pm PST from the official Hybrid Twitter, replying to a user stating the game should be fixed and made available on the marketplace again “very soon”.
UPDATE FROM 5th CELL:
“FIXED.
We have worked with Microsoft to diagnose and resolve the server issue surrounding Hybrid. Our entire team appreciates the overwhelming response of fans logging in on day-1 and for bearing with us during this short downtime. We expect a smooth gameplay experience from here on out.
It may take several hours for it to reappear on your Xbox dashboard again.”
