Horror Shooter Metro Exodus Announced for 2018

At Microsoft’s E3 press conference, Deep Silver and 4A Games revealed Metro Exodus, the latest addition to the popular Metro series.

Like its predecessors, Metro 2033 and Metro: Last LightMetro Exodus will be a story-driven first-person shooter with horror and exploration elements. The game will feature “vast, non-linear levels” and “a thrilling story-line that spans an entire year through spring, summer, and autumn to the depths of nuclear winter” as players follow Artyom out of Moscow and across the continent.

It will feature a day/night cycle, survival and crafting, and choices that will affect the story and the fate of your companions.

While the story of Metro Exodus has at least been inspired by Dmitry Glukhovsky’s novels, it’s unclear if the author himself will be involved with this one. Either way, it promises to be another exciting Metro adventure.

Metro Exodus will launch in 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
