D3 Publisher Inc. has announced that Earth Defense Force 5, the latest installment in the wonderfully ridiculous Earth Defense Force series, will be coming to the US later this year.
Famous for its unapologetically hammy B-movie style, the latest Earth Defense Force once again has players battle against legions of aliens and giant insects in order to, as the title implies, defend Earth. EDF5 will feature more content than ever, including 100 new missions with five difficulty settings, a new race of humanoid alien enemies, over 1,000 weapons, and more.
Though there’s no specific release date as of writing this, the game is available for pre-order on the Playstation Store.
