E3 10: Star Wars: The Old Republic Impressions

by Gyuri - on Jul 5th 2010 - No Comments

Back in 2008 Bioware dropped a bomb by announcing The Old Republic. People were surprised, shocked, even disappointed. Instead of finishing the story of Knights of the Old Republic, Bioware announced it’s first MMORPG in the form of TOR. Skepticism was high as the developers of KotOR who were experts in storytelling decided to follow up the story of KotOR with an MMORPG. However, as more and more information surfaced, more and more people were convinced that TOR may be a worthy successor to KotOR. After E3 2010, we are able to confirm one thing with absolute certainty: TOR is looking damn good. (more…)

Hello readers, and welcome to our newest feature. A Wednesday feature, Misplaced Mechanics will bring you three gameplay mechanics each week that just didn’t work that well with their games. March 13th, 2009. Resident Evil 5 is finally out. Most people went to buy it that day. As for me, I already had it a day early and finished it in co-op on the 13th. The saga finally reaches it’s climax as everything is revealed. More or less. Some questions are still left unanswered but there’s always the next game. (more…)

RE: The Darkside Chronicles trailer

by Gyuri - on Mar 13th 2009 - No Comments

Looks like it didn’t take Capcom too long to throw together a trailer for the game announced last week. From what we see the game may not be different in gameplay from Umbrella Chronicles, however the footage is too short to say for sure. What is certain is that the game recreates at least some of Resident Evil 2 in a first person perspective offering players to relive the events of Resident Evil 2 in a different way, playing as either Leon Scott Kennedy or Claire Redfield.

According to rumors, the game received the title Darkside Chronicles because it will reveal the truth behind many of the series’ mysteries and events that happened in the shadows. Although certainly logical, these are just rumors, so don’t believe them just yet.

Enjoy the trailer.
