Do You Like to Eat at Subway? Do You Like to Win Stuff? Then Sony and Subway Have a Deal for You!

by MegaClank - on Aug 17th 2010 - 2 Comments

Fiery Footlong Frenzy!

The Fiery Footlong Frenzy is the newest partnership Sony has cooked up with participating SUBWAY stores! But what’s the catch?

Go to a participating Subway from now until October 17th and purchase (get this) either a SUBWAY 32 oz. drink, a specially marked SUBWAY breakfast sandwich or even some SunChips bags (Monterey Jack and Sundried Tomato) to collect codes that allow you to become part of the frenzy!

We’ll be giving away an average of one prize per minute, many before they can be purchased in stores. We have over $1 million in prizes to give away, including PlayStation Move hardware and software bundles, Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 5 Collector’s Editions, LittleBigPlanet 2 and LittleBigPlanet 2 Collector’s Editions, and Invizimals PSP Entertainment Packs.

I don’t get it, where’s the fiery footlong? The new Turkey Jalapeno Melt is where it’s at apparently.

Additional information can be found here. Also check out their Facebook page to get in on some extra details, or maybe Twitter is your fancy.

Want to Know What PlayStation Plus Subscribers Get for August and September?

by MegaClank - on Aug 7th 2010 - No Comments

Hey, $50 a year? That sounds familiar! But on the PS3, you don’t have to pay that if you don’t want to. Why? Because it says “Plus,” which signifies “more”. What kind of more you ask? Well, 4 free games each month, discounts on games, free trails, avatars, themes, and the like.

But hey, that probably won’t sell it for ya, because you’re skeptic. Unfortunately, those free games? You can only keep them for as long as you’re subscribed, bummer. Look on the bright side: if you purchase a year (that’s 12 months!) subscription now, you’ll be getting 3 months additionally – for free! Plenty of time to beat those games.

Want to know what types of neat-o things you’ll be getting?

Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time: A Review

by MegaClank - on Nov 22nd 2009 - No Comments

The Great Clock!

The Great Clock, the center of this installment in the Ratchet and Clank Future series keeps time itself. “Time is not to be tampered with!” Orvus would say. A Crack in Time delves into the pasts of both Ratchet and Clank. Could the Lombax race be saved? Does Clank have a new purpose in life, that doesn’t involve Ratchet? Does Qwark get a new quirky outfit? Does Dr. Nefarious go into those random fits? Is the Plumber present?

All of these are pretty much answered in this game. “Pretty much,” because a loose end that gets tied up for this game, doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll stay tied in another. Which isn’t a bad thing, it could set up the story for other games. And with what a success this game was, I wouldn’t be questioning, “Another installment?”

The game starts out with Clank, which is a refreshing part in this game. Many people for whatever reason hate on Clank parts, but who can blame them when it’s pretty much the same thing over and over? Previously Clank parts included controlling other bots and getting from Point A to Point B. Not that bad, killing baddies in between was fun. And then others had Clank just do mini Ratchet levels in essence.

This is no longer the case, with entire sections of the Great Clock up for Clank’s discretion. One activity is fix time on planets.

Netflix is About to Hit PS3 Users!

by MegaClank - on Oct 27th 2009 - No Comments

Netflix on PS3!

And the internet is sure to let their rage be heard. “Oh wow, Sony people are fags, they’re just copying XBox, how gay,” “Xbox already has this feature, too late,” “This isn’t needed, we have a video service,” and the list goes on.

But why all the trolling? Why all the hate? Can’t we all get along and share in the joy that is Netflix? Sure XBox 360 users have had this feature for a couple of months now, and sure Sony has a video service already, but if you already have a Netflix subscription, streaming on to your console is great! And the PS3′s Netflix doesn’t require you pay for Gold membership to use it!

And others who don’t have Netflix, but are into streaming videos will surely dig this. Word on the street has it, users will get a free Blu-ray shipped to them to allow the streaming to work, hopefully until a Firmware update is released of course. This is so that they can take advantage of the BD-Live feature. But anything of this sorts is all about rejoicing.

I hear it’s awesome on the 360, I’m sure it’ll be great on the PS3. If it comes to the Wii, what else can I do but be happy for them as well? Here’s to hoping many will thoroughly be pleased with the new feature.

And this just adds to the list of what a media-hub the PS3 really is, so thumbs up Sony!

If you’d like to sign up early, here’s the link: http://www.netflix.com/ps3.
