Activision Announces Future Call of Duty Plans

Following the rumored allegations of “insubordination” and “breaches of conduct” by the departing co-founders of Infinity Ward, Activison has announced its plans for the future of the Call of Duty franchise.

From what’s already known, this year’s Call of Duty is being helmed by Call of Duty 3 and World at War veterans, Treyarch and not to much surprise, 2011 will also see the release of another Call of Duty video game. One of these employees includes Infinity Ward’s CTO Jason West and the other rumored to be Vince Zampella. Infinity Ward Community Manager Robert Bowling has vaguely addressed the issue on his Twitter account by stating that he has “no info” on the matter at this time. … Continue Reading

Medal of Honor Reboot Using Two Engines

An interesting story if you like to follow game development. It seems that EA tweeted that the singleplayer and multiplayer portions of Medal of Honor won’t share the same engine. Makes sense as EA Los Angeles is handling the singleplayer while Battlefield creator DICE is working on multiplayer. The singleplayer is using a heavily modified version of Unreal Engine 3 while the multiplayer uses the Frostbite engine, as used previously in Battlefield: Bad Company.

Matt Hazard: Blood Bath & Beyond Review

The original Matt Hazard had the potential to be a great game, good voice work with the likes of Neil Patrick Harris and Will Arnett. A brilliant backstory and marketing campaign which broke the fourth wall entirely, and the story while thin was entertaining and amusing. The sole problem came in the gameplay department which [...]
