MonsterVine Will Game For Extra-Life

by Trevor Stamp - on Oct 12th 2011 - 2 Comments

I wanted to take the time and let you all know that a few members from our staff (William Saw, Trevor Stamp, Zack Mok, and our freelancer Austin Adamson) will participate in the Extra-Life charity event on Saturday, October 15. Extra-Life is a charity event where gamers around the world participate in a 24 hour gaming marathon, raising money for Children’s Hospitals and the Children’s Miracle Network ( who makes sure all of the Children’s Hospitals receive the donations). It’s a wonderful charity event, and something I believe that many gamers should get behind, as it is a fun way to raise money for a great cause. (more…)

With the NA release of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword now known to be Nov. 20, I am as excited as any other Zelda fan to play the beloved series latest installment.

E3 2010 Recap/Predictions

by Diego Escala - on Jun 5th 2011 - No Comments

I decided to make a quit recap/predictions post right before E3 pops up so that I’ll be able to show how I felt about last E3 and how the big 3 delivered. I’ll admit this article is oozing with my own personal opinion so please go yell at my editor if you disagree with me since I think that will be funnier. You’ll notice I wrote a lot more for Nintendo than anyone else and that’s because I felt the strongest for them during their E3 conference and they’re the only ones who actually had more than 2 of the games they showed come out. App Attack

by Diego Escala - on May 15th 2011 - No Comments

I come from the land of iOS devices with more apps. Also I’m kind of sick of the subtitled title already so I’m just going to stick with App Attack from now on. I also made a quick little picture I’ll use from now on as the thumbnail. I’d also like to remind you guys to continually check up on the free games since lots of sweet priced games get knocked to free for a few days and you can get some neat stuff sometimes like Spirits & Vector Runner for free.

App Attack: 3×1=More Apps

by Diego Escala - on Apr 11th 2011 - 1 Comment

I come from the land of iOS with treasured (and some cursed) apps. I request that you buy any that aren’t free since Apple pays me each time I type this out and somebody buys something.

App Attack: What’s In My Other Pocket?

by Diego Escala - on Mar 23rd 2011 - No Comments

I return once again from the land of iOS devices with new apps that I have uncovered during my stay. I urge you to buy them all because I get a percentage of all profits for advertising for iTunes. At least that’s what I like to think happens. (more…)

SparklingBlue Wants to Play and Help Japan!

by SparklingBlue - on Mar 11th 2011 - 2 Comments

So, I’m sure you know by now about the horrible earthquake that devastated Japan this morning and the ensuing tsunami…

…and I’m thinking of a way for all of us at MonsterVine to help those affected.

Right now, I’m thinking of doing a fundraiser walkthrough (eg. someone plays through a game of their choice, with different achievements/plot points earning different amounts of money. When the game is completed, the money is donated to help the quake victims)

But do you have a better idea? What would you do to help?
