Resident Evil 4 Now Available for the iPhone

Capcom has released the portable Resident Evil 4 is now available for purchase on the iTunes App Store.

For a price of $7.99, a 37.3 MB download will bring an unlockable Mercenaries Mode in addition to its story-driven campaign and promises of “the best 3D graphics to date on iPhone.”

Secret of Monkey Island: SE Comes to iPhone

Lucasarts has released the iPhone and iPod Touch version of The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition on the iTunes App Store.

The downloadable game offers the same features as its PC and console counterpart, allowing players to swap between the 1990 classic or the newly redrawn art, voices, and redone music.

EA Releases iPhone Game ‘Zombies & Me’

Electronic Arts’s iPhone and iPod Touch development studio 8lb Gorilla has released their first game on the App Store today.

Retailing for $ 0.99, Zombies and Me has players leading countless waves of undead hordes of zombies away from Granny’s house and into the paths of falling bombs. As you tap the screen, players will be given helpful advice from Granny such as “no pie for you young men,” “I miss Mr. Shingles,” and “in my days, zombies were less horrid.”

Duke Nukem 3D Coming to iPhone

The iPhone and iPod Touch version of 3D Realms Duke Nukem 3D is expected “very soon”, according to IGN.

Developer Machineworks Northwest is currently repsonsible for the port. Duke Nukem 3D will use on-screen action bars for movement and aiming, with firing handled by either tapping the foe or the fire button. The port is stated to contain the “entire game” complete with “one-liners” and “upgraded visuals.”

3D Realms previously noted that a total of three Duke Nukem games were coming to the iPhone.

Lucasarts Hinting Future iPhone Releases of Classics

Lucasarts, beginning to embrace digital distribution and its beloved collection of classics, suggests that future iPhone ports may be on the way.

“On iPhone, you know Apple’s policy that we can’t talk about a release until it’s ready to release,” said Lucasarts CEO Darrell Rodriguez to Joystiq when asked about iPhone and iPod Touch versions of older games. “But it would make sense that we would do something like that if we were to go in that direction … wink wink, nod, nod.”
