PAX 2008: Gears 2 Will Not Feature Halo 2 Cliffhanger Ending

Joystiq interviewed Gears of War 2 lead writer Josh Ortega at the Penny Arcade Expo and rest assured our “Gears 2 not having a fulfilling ending” fears have been assuaged.

Ortega remarked that Gears 2 will “get [a] nice closure.” But also the lead writer was quick to state not so much as to end the game “too much where there couldn’t be room to expand should you decide to.” as it would dampen ideas for the trilogy.
