SB’s Gaming Memories: Final Fantasy Riverdance

Like I mentioned in the newswire, I love (,oh love) Celtic music and gaming with a passion. Naturally, I usually have otherworldy Irish/Scottish/other tracks on when the game music just isn’t cutting it.

But, when I first played Final Fantasy 8, I discovered you can put together an Irish session as one choice for the concert scene in Disc 2.

I had Zell as my guitarist, Irvine my fiddler (he fits that instrument well!), Selphie my flutist, and Quistis my dancer.

Once I had my sessioneers set up, I cranked up my PlayStation’s volume very loud and proceeded to dance along with it until I got pleas to turn it down.

Since then, I’ve found the complete song during my online rambles, and sometimes put it on for nostaligia’s sake.

Happy gaming,
SparklingBlue
