A recent job posting at Microsoft indicate the publisher may be trying to hire employees to fill its new Halo studio for work on the next generation Xbox.
Descriptions for a Programs Manager at Microsoft Redmond Headquarters reads as follows:
“As part of a next generation team, you’ll be instrumental in helping to lead the development of the engine that will power future experiences for the next generation of gaming platforms,”
“You will have the opportunity to collaborate with artists, designers, and other creative functions within [Microsoft Game Studios] to ensure that we are building the best possible platform for content creators,”
The position will not involve day-to-day programming but rather “work[ing] closely with the software architect and the senior development team.”
The software architect may be former Gearbox employee Corrinne Yu, who fueled rumors of Microsoft’s next-gen developent with her departure to join the newly formed Halo studio.
The studio is currently at work of a new entry in the Halo series in a joint venture with Peter Jackson, the project was announced two years ago.
