The former Metal Gear Solid 4 producer and once video games journalist, Ryan Payton, is rumored to have joined Microsoft Games Studios to work on the new Halo project, Peter Jackson collaboration by serving as creative director.
Payton’s new role initially surfaced on Kotaku as a rumor with several news outlets reporting similar stories.
Payton will become the latest addition to the growing ranks of Microsoft’s internal Halo studio which include former Gearbox Studios Corrinne Yu and ex-Bungie writer Frank O’ Connor.
Often refered to as Halo: Chronicles, the title was first announced as Xbox 360 game that featured the collaboration with Lord of the Rings film director, Peter Jackson.
