Elevating writers into journalists. Be a part of that movement.
The Video Game Spectrum (now becoming MonsterVine) is looking for writers who are interested in conveying their opinions about the video game industry through text and media.
We are looking for people who like to write about video games and express their opinions about them.
Background
The state of video game journalism today favors a new and refreshing take on video games, mostly coming from people who actually play video games and understand them. We are looking for those gamers who are not shy about voicing their opinions and writing about it.
Experience in video games and a writing background is preferred.
Goals
Learn the how video game journalism works and use us as a reference as your professional work. We encourage people to build up a portfolio while working with our site.
Why us?
MonsterVine is a definite change from corporate video game websites. We operate under a non-commercial, independent mentality and focus our audience on the people who play video games vicariously, not your geared casual audience.
Its a site dedicated to serving the wants and needs of the gaming community and we want you to be apart of it.
Application Process
Just answer a few questions if you think you’re ready.
1. What is your history with video games? (how far back can you trace your gaming roots?)
2. What is your experience with writing in general? (here you may wish to cite examples)
3. Time committment has always been a daunting task for our staff, how do you expect to contribute to our site on a regular basis?
4. If elected for a position, which console or system would you most be comfortable with covering?
E-mail your applications to wsaw@verizon.net with the Subject: MonsterVine Staff Application and I will reply back as soon as possible.
