Guitar Hero World Tour with its 86 on-disc tracks will be releasing on October 26, meanwhile the publisher Activision has announced the price points for the its various bundles of the game.
A $240 deluxe bundle for the PS3 and 360 versions, available only from Activision and RedOctane will include the game, wireless guitar, wireless drum set and a microphone, along with an XL t-shirt, recharge kit, dual gig bag, and key chain.
Playstation 2 and Wii versions of the deluxe bundle are priced at $220, with the Wii bundle lacking the rechargable battery pack as the instruments directly plugs into the Wii Remote.
Retailers will stock the following, which are available in-store.
* Full Band Kit (Game, Wireless Guitar, Wireless Drums, Microphone)
o $190 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii.
o $180 for PlayStation 2.
* Guitar Bundle (Game, Wireless Guitar)
o $100 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii.
o $90 for PlayStation 2.
The core title itself will be priced at $60 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions while the Wii and PS2 versions will be priced at $50. The Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 editions will be compatiable with the instruments from Rock Band.
Wii guitars and now the Wii drums will require a Wii remote to be inserted for it to be used.
Rival title, Harmonix’s Rock Band 2 will also see a $190 special edition that will include wireless drums, wireless guitar and a microphone, coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 19.
While the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band 2 is available now, the PS3 version won’t be available until October 19, with a PS2 and Wii release for the title to follow later this year.
