First off, Resistance 2 has gone Gold! The game is for sure coming out November 4th! Resistance 2’s Beta is starting now, with waves of codes being sent to those who pre-ordered, those to subscribed to Qore or purchased the episode with Resistance 2 in it and then the contest over at GamePro.com.
Beta starts now and codes are being sent today and more next week. European players get it next week as well. So check out your inboxes.
You get to play online, co-op modes and choose between 3 maps online. Orick is mostly what you will see, but Chicago and Sub Docks (Bay Area) are in there as well with 60-, 40-, 20- and 10-player maps to choose from. You get to play Skirmish, Core Control, Team Deathmatch and Deathmatch are all supported online.
The co-op portion of the beta will focused on Orick, and will support randomization of your play-path. Both co-op and competitive will support matchmaking and class/character progression up to level 10. This will allow unlocking of new equipment, upgrades and berserks for character customization.
