Sierra is shutting down 21 master servers for multiplayer games dating from 1998 to 2006.
Matchmaking services for titles such as Tribes 2, the Homeworld series, and No One Lives Forever 2 will go offline on November 1st.
The multiplayer functions of games will still work however server browser will no longer be available as well as additional community features such as Tribes 2 clan support. Online multiplayer will still be in games but players will have to use direct IP connections to servers or use third-party browsing software.
No reason was given for Sierra taking down the servers. Local multiplayer will still be playable in any of the 21 titles listed below after the servers are taken offline.
