Xbox 360 close to out selling original

Microsoft has revealed that the number of Xbox 360 consoles shipped since launch has come to 22.5m, which is very close to the 27.4m that the original Xbox sold. Microsoft expects the Xbox 360 to surpass original Xbox sales in the coming months.

It’s also worth noting that the Nintendo Wii reached these sales figures in half the time of the Xbox 360, and currently has the lead with a total of 29.62m units shipped, while Sony’s Playstation 3 is trailing behind at 14.41m.
