X-Play did its Annual Game of the Year awards tonight and surprisingly picked Fable II as their Game of the Year. In the following video, Peter Molyneux personally joins Adam and Morgan in an interview of his acceptance speech. Towards the end though, we see that Molyneux teases that his studio has two upcoming games in development and will be revealed at the annual Game Developers Conference in 2009. Hopefully we get invitations to be there and cover the event, so we too can see what Molyneux has in store for us, in person.
Stay tuned for our own Game of the Year awards next week, where the staff will converge to present the overall Game of the Year as well as represent their top picks and platform winners.
* “one of those things are familiar…”
* “the other one is completely and utterly different… making us sweat… pushing us really, really, hard to be smarter and better and clever… and more passionate than we’ve ever been before…”
