Details on Upcoming Fallout 3 DLC

Released in March, the PC and Xbox 360 exlcusive “Broken Steel” downloadable content for Fallout 3 will raise the level cap from 20 to 30.

“We plan on raising it to level 30 – but it will be a long, hard climb to get there,”

“We felt there’s no harm in letting the player enjoy the game as long as they’d like, and so along with removing the game’s ‘ending’ with Broken Steel, we figure raising the level cap would allow them to do that,”

Bethesda lead DLC producer Jeff Gardiner

The first DLC pack, arriving later this month, named Operation: Anchorage will allow its buyers to relive the liberation of Anchorage, Alaska through an in-game virtual reality simulator. The second pack offers a look at the post-apocalyptic Pittsburgh.

Broken Steel, however, picks up where the main adventure left off, allowing players to join the Brotherhood of Steel in order to rid the Wasteland of the Enclave.

All three packs are exclusive to the PC and Xbox 360, with reiteration that the DLC would not release on the Playstation 3 per agreement with Microsoft. Operation Anchorage will retail for $10, yet we are uncertain of the pricing of the other two packs.

Hmmm I can only wonder if this means that the game gives us a clear svae finally or if it’ll end after Broken Steel.
