Feck Off About the Price Cut

Feck off. Not quite the exact words by Peter Dille the senior vice president of Marketing for Sony, but is heavily implied. In an article by Bloomberg about the heat from Publishers to lower the price of the Playstation 3 he said:

“Everybody in the development community would love for the PS3 to be free, so they could just sell razor blades,”

According to Peter Dille Sony has no immediate plans to reduce the price and have concerns for profitability and install base.

With Nintendo owning half the market and Microsoft getting got results from Xbox 360, Sony have got the short end of the stick with most criticisms heading in its direction. Complaints Advice from publishers to lower the price isn’t helping either, Peter Moore from EA for example stated that “Sony obviously still has a ways to go with their pricing.” I’m not surprised Sony are starting to get slightly annoyed with the pricing complaints from both gamers, the press and the publishers alike.

Oh before I forget, Sony I have some advice. Lower the price of the PS3.
