Electronic Arts has announced that the open world sequel The Godfather II has gone gold and is in production to be sent out to retailers.

The game will come out on April 7 for the PC, Xbox 360, and the PS3.

The sequel adds new features such as The Don’s View, a strategy component that allows players to micromanage properties and territories.

It will also allow players to customize their own crew of AI-controlled family members. The crew can then be used in the game’s multiplayer modes which will involve on class based specialities such as demolition and arson.
