Remedy’s long awaited supernatural action adventure title will be coming to the Xbox 360 in Spring 2010.
A demonstration of the game was shown prior to the date announcement, showing protagonist Alan Wake chasing after companion Rusty – said to be holding the manuscript pages that Wake needs to save his wife Alice – while fending off mysterious floating objects, shadowy birds, and flannel-clad enemies.
The game’s human-like enemies, depicted as miners and lumberjacks, are shown to be weak against light with Wake utilizing a flashlight and flare gun to burn them to death whilst dodging their attacks and tossed objects. The flashlight required the player to finish foes off with a gun while the flaregun obliterated the two enemies standing next to each other.
