And the internet is sure to let their rage be heard. “Oh wow, Sony people are fags, they’re just copying XBox, how gay,” “Xbox already has this feature, too late,” “This isn’t needed, we have a video service,” and the list goes on.
But why all the trolling? Why all the hate? Can’t we all get along and share in the joy that is Netflix? Sure XBox 360 users have had this feature for a couple of months now, and sure Sony has a video service already, but if you already have a Netflix subscription, streaming on to your console is great! And the PS3’s Netflix doesn’t require you pay for Gold membership to use it!
And others who don’t have Netflix, but are into streaming videos will surely dig this. Word on the street has it, users will get a free Blu-ray shipped to them to allow the streaming to work, hopefully until a Firmware update is released of course. This is so that they can take advantage of the BD-Live feature. But anything of this sorts is all about rejoicing.
I hear it’s awesome on the 360, I’m sure it’ll be great on the PS3. If it comes to the Wii, what else can I do but be happy for them as well? Here’s to hoping many will thoroughly be pleased with the new feature.
And this just adds to the list of what a media-hub the PS3 really is, so thumbs up Sony!
