Man, gaming news has been dead slow this week. Fear not I have found 5 articles of some interest. It’s time for the day today in the world of gaming.
Persona 3 Portable Release Date Announced
For North America anyway. All PSP owners should shell out your cash on July 6th, an updated version of Persona 3 is coming. It’s not just a simple port, this version has a female main character with a slightly different storyline, new social links and updates to the battle system to match the likes of Persona 4. It makes you want to play the game all over again, for a third time. No European date has been announced as of yet.
Modern Warfare 2 DLC Only Exclusive for 30 Days
The Xbox 360 shall be getting any DLC 30 days before it’s released on the PSN. To me it doesn’t seem worth it and this console war has gone on for so long now that most people know what console they prefer to buy games for, I know I have. With or without this timed exclusive figures for the 360 version wouldn’t of changed. Microsoft needs more faith in Xbox Live. But 1 month? Seems pointless.
Sony’s Motion Controller Delayed
Originally due for Spring, it’s now been delayed until Fall 2010 to around the same time as Natel. I’m not surprised it has, with the lack of any news I had doubts it was going to be released within the next few month. E3 showed that it was in the very early stage while Microsoft at the very least made Natel look like it was much further into development. The reason for the delay is to get a wider range of games ready with enough innovation. We shall expect more news and hopefully a playable version at E3.
Criterion has stated that they are no longer developing any more DLC for Burnout Paradise. While this is sad news, Burnout had a great run of DLC, many publishers should take a page out of Criterion’s book when it comes to DLC. It came to light after this tweet: “Please stop asking us for Burnout Paradise DLC. There will be no more! Sorry everyone! But we did WAY more than everyone else …” The man has spoken.
For those who didn’t and have no plans to buy Halo 3: ODST, the map pack that came with the game will be available to buy separately come February 2nd. It will cost 800 MSP and contains the maps “Heretic,” “Citadel,” and “Longshore.” Those who play Halo regularly still probably have bought ODST, unless they have hatred for Firefly. I don’t expect this to sell well but at least the circle is now complete.
