It’s just another news day here from the lovely VineBoat. Here is today’s news.
BBC Want Top Gear and Doctor Who Games
The BBC are looking for developers and publishers to make games for some of their shows. Doctor Who would make sense, since that is a sci-fi action drama series. But Top Gear, not in the slightest. People watch Top Gear for the stupid challenges and the personalities not the cars. All it would end up being is a dull racing game maybe with some commentary from Clarkson, Hammond and May.
Final Fantasy XIII Composer Leaves Square Enix
Composer Masashi Hamauzu has left Square-Enix for reasons that haven’t been released to the public. Chances are he simply left to do something different with his music. Musicians apparently like to be more freelance so changing about would work well for them. Good luck to him.
Final Fantasy XIII EU Collectors Edition
More Final Fantasy news now. The content for Europe’s collectors edition has been revealed. It will contain “a hardbound art book titled “The World of Final Fantasy XIII”, a series of attractive collector’s cards, and a soundtrack sample CD, all packed into a limited edition package.” It will cost £59.99 ($100).
Rockstar’s Promise to PS3 Owners
With PS3 owners not seeing any of the fantastic Grand Theft Auto IV DLC, they have every right to be pissed. Well Rockstar are aware of this and have said “All we can say is that we at Rockstar promise to be very good to you with our releases in 2010. Please stay with us and stay tuned!” Does this mean they finally see this DLC or maybe some exclusive DLC for another title. Only time will tell.
The disease seems to be making a return and videogames are the first to be blamed, along with the good old television. Says the ‘The Times’ a paper who’s revenue has been affected by the likes of television. Due to kids spending more time indoors causes a lack of Vitamin D. Instead of blaming their audience for their stupidity and lack of parenting, they decide to opt for the human hating machines like TV and consoles a medium which scientists only vaguely mention. Ah isn’t the news media amazing.
