Prototype 2 Turns Tables, Kill Alex Mercer, 2012 Release

Activision and Radical Entertainment has announced an unexpected sequel, Prototype 2. Players take the role of Sergent James Keller who becomes a mutated monster in order to kill the anti-hero of the first Prototype, Alex Mercer.

An in-depth preview of Prototype 2 will be in EGM’s April 2011 issue. No platforms were announced yet but expect the game for a 2012 release and a Mature rating because, “players will still be able to karate kick helicopters right out of the sky and do all sorts of really gory stuff with tendrils; but mostly because Heller is really pissed off at Alex Mercer and there’s no way to tell that story without getting a little…well…gross.”
