Pokemon Black/White Features Evolved Battle Systems

Pokemon Black/White features “evolved battle systems” introducing the series first Triple Battles and built in IR communication that will allow for faster connectivity in battles. A new trailer released today highlights the Poke-madness.

Triple Battles introduces a new depth of strategy depending on a Pokemon’s placement during battle.

For example, a Pokémon in the center of a player’s lineup can attack any of
its three opponents. However, a Pokémon positioned on the left or right of the formation
can only attack the Pokémon in the middle of the opposing lineup, or directly in front of
it.

Players can communicate easier with friends through a built-in IR device in the DS card and is accessed through the C-Gear in-game option. Pokemon Black and White releases on Nintendo DS on March 6.
