LA Noire Gets Rockstar Social Club Treatment

R* has confirmed that it will be integrating its Rockstar Social Club functionality into its upcoming detective thriller, LA Noire.

Social Club is a mix of in-game and web-based features and players can expect a “wealth of robust game progress stat tracking and friend comparison features that members have come to expect, including enhanced versions of the checklists that everyone loved with Red Dead Redemption.”

Is that your final answer?

LA Noire’s in-game Social Club bonuses feature an exclusive “Chicago Lightning Suit,” allowing Cole Phelps to receive an accuracy boost when using shotguns or machine guns. Another intriguing feature lets you “Ask the Community” when connected online, players can see the choices that others have made at certain game junctures however it does not necessarily mean it indicates the best solution. The “Ask the Community” feature comes with the recent announcement that LA Noire will allow players to skip difficult action scenes, indicates that Rockstar is making the effort to appeal the game to as wide of an audience as possible. However, for the seasoned gamer – these features are entirely option and can be toggled off.

LA Noire releases May 17 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
