The Darkness II Releasing October 4

2K has announced The Darkness II will see release October 4, 2011 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC and October 7 around the world.

Developed by Digital Extemes (Dark Sector), the supernatural horror comic book series created by Top Cow Productions has players taking the role of Jackie Estacado, the wielder of Darkness, and guides you through unique first-person gameplay mechanics with the ability to interact with objects and melee enemies, all the whole simultaneously holding two weapons.

From what we saw, The Darkness II takes a stylistic approach in the form of modern comic book tropes. Jackie Estacado must combat with his supernatural power and fight the forces of Darkness within the backdrop of an full-scale mob war.
