Dishonored Details Arise

Game Informer revealed new details on Arkane Studio’s upcoming first person action game Dishonored. Players take the role of Corvo, a bodyguard imprisoned for the murder of the Empress he was supposed to protect. Skilled in melee combat, along with powers and gadgets at his disposal, Corvo seeks revenge against the man who set him up: Lord Regent.

The game will set up creative solutions to the stealth action genre through the given abilities. For example, players can stop time and knock items off a table in order to distract a guard patrol’s attention. Dishonored looks to illustrate its relevancy to the video game world as every action will come with consequences. As you create more damage in-game, the game will respond. Arkane hopes that actions impact story decisions rather than punishing or rewarding players with a good vs. evil balance.

Dishonored is set for release in 2012 for PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.
