Ubisoft unveiled a new IP in development at Ubisoft Montreal called Watch Dogs, an open-world cybercrime game where you have the ability to hack into the world around you. The publisher has confirmed it will release on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC – previously thought to be a next-gen title.
In the gameplay demonstration, the antihero Aiden Pierce, hacks into civilian systems on the street, creating a trap for a high-target businessman, with himself as the bait. After, Aiden hacks into the phone of target’s personal aide, and into the traffic system to create an accident that takes out the businessman.
The premise for Watch Dogs takes place in a world where everything electronic can be controlled via a central operating system owned by private companies. So what happens when you control that central operating system?
