Following their moderately well-received stealth-action game, Styx: Master of Shadows, Cyanide has announced that Styx will again be brought out from the shadows in the game’s sequel, Styx: Shards of Darkness, in 2016 The sequel is set to have a larger budget to accommodate the team’s new gameplay ideas, as well as the sequel’s new engine, Unreal 4.
Having been in development for 6 months, the first screenshot was released, showing Styx using his new skills on an enemy in Körangar, an extensive new area in the sequel. The sequel is set to include new enemies, new environments, and refined gameplay.
Styx: Shards of Darkness is set to release for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC next year.
