Steam Hardware Released From the Pipes

Valve has announced that the hotly anticipated Steam Hardware,  composed of the Steam Controller, the Steam Link, and the Steam Machines, are now available in the US, Canada, and Europe. Gamestop, EB Games, and GAME UK are all set to have Steam Hardware in the newly dedicated Steam sections of the stores, as well as a variety of prepaid cards.

The Steam Controller will retail for a suggested price of $49.99 USD, and will allow users to play a variety of different games, even ones optimized for keyboard and mouse thanks to how completely configurable it is. The controller will be wireless.

The Steam Link will also retail for a suggested price of $49.99 USD, and will allow users to connect their Steam Machines and PCs to their TVs, in order to stream PC games anywhere in their home.

The Steam Machine will retail for a variety of prices, starting at $449.99 USD. Prices will depend on hardware size, graphics performance, and other unannounced factors. There will be versions available from Alienware, Zotac, Cyberpower, and other manufacturers. The Steam Machine will have more than 1,500 games available for native play, as well as the ability to broadcast and receive streaming from another Steam Machine or PC, and through a Steam Link.
