Pathfinder Adventures Being Dealt Out This March

Obsidian and Paizo, Inc. have announced that their highly-anticipated adventure card game, Pathfinder Adventures, will be released for the Apple iPad and Android tablets this March. The game will have players build a party of iconic Pathfinder heroes to conquer the Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path. Each hero uses their own unique deck of cards to defeat monsters and villains on each adventure.

Characters can also level up and gain new abilities as they find new weapons and companions, and learn new and powerful spells. The game will have Obsidian’s support in the long run as well, with new adventure decks becoming available for purchase. CEO Feargus Urquhart commented:

“Obsidian has a history of working with deep, richly-textured fantasy worlds, from Star Wars to Fallout. We’re thrilled to play in Paizo’s sandbox and adapt it for both the fan of the tabletop game and a brand new audience of digital gamers. It’s fitting that we will start with the first Pathfinder adventure ever written, the classic and well-loved Rise of the Runelords.”

Pathfinder Adventures will be available on March 29th. For more information, check out the game’s official site here.
