Sushee, with the support of the Square Enix Collective, has unleashed a Kickstarter campaign for the next entry in the Fear Effect series, Fear Effect Sedna. The campaign’s current goal is 100,000 euros, which will be added to the developer’s own investment, in order to fully fund the game. If the Kickstarter is funded, the Collective will offer support and advice to Sushee until release. Phil Elliott, creator and project lead for the platform, commented:
“We first announced our intention to open up dormant Western IP right at the start of Collective’s life back in 2013. We felt that last year was the right time to go ahead with that, and Sushee – although busy with the development of Goetia at the time – was quick to register a keen interest in the idea.”
If funded, the game is expected to release in the second quarter of 2017. You can check out the Kickstarter campaign here.
