Here’s The Details On Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s Breach Mode

Inching ever closer towards release, Eidos Montreal is working on new ways to augment Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and that’s all coming to light in Breach, a new mode designed with challenge in mind.

Breach is the arcade twist on the Deus Ex’s core gameplay. Offering different objectives, players collect fragments and uncover information under the guise of hacking into secure terminals. The hacking element serves as the backdrop to the larger conflict occuring in Mankind Divided and going deep into heavily guarded mainframes of evil corporations is the quintessential trademark of the dystopian future world building.

The objective in Breach mode is to locate data without being destroyed by the various hostiles populated in the area. These range from sentries, drones, and boss units. Preparation is key to survival and here, players can augment their base weapons and unlock additional firepower through credits and virtual augmentations through Praxis points. You’ll have to be strategic in your loadout choices given the limited selection for each mission. Tailoring these weapons and augments towards a particular objective and playstyle comes highly recommended. Geared for the challenge enthusiasts in mind, the difficulty of the missions can also be scaled up or down, the latter providing temporary advantages in a firefight or conditions.

With a new story, environment, and cast of characters, Breach mode serves as the forefront of Eidos Montreal’s live game operations and post-launch DLC support plans for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and it’ll ship on disc August 23, 2016 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
