Pokémon Sun and Moon Gameplay Details Revealed at E3

Nintendo revealed some of the new mechanics and visual changes that will be in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Alongside a four-player “Battle Royale” mode, the game has a number of minor aesthetic changes. Trainers now stand behind their Pokémon the entire battle, to give players a better sense of connection with their Pokémon.

Characters in the game now have vastly different proportions compared to previous Pokémon games. Trainers and NPCs look more realistic, as the size of their bodies has been changed to look more like regular people, rather than chibi characters.

New Pokémon were also shown. The bird type Pikipek, the normal type Yungoos, the bug type Grubbin, and the steel-fairy type legendary, Magearna.

Pokémon Sun and Moon will be released for the Nintendo 3DS on November 18th. For more information, check out the footage above.
