While the majority of Nintendo’s E3 activities today are focused on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Youtube’s E3 2016 live stream included a stream of “Nindie” games. One indie game coming to Nintendo consoles is Severed.
Severed is a first-person dungeon crawler with swipe-based combat, and it first launched on the PlayStation Vita earlier this year.
Now it is due out for the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS this summer. Cross-buy is supported, so if you buy Severed for one of the two systems, you’ll also get it for the other. It will be available from the Nintendo eShop.
Take a look at the new trailer to get a feeling for Severed’s style and gameplay.
Severed was developed by DrinkBox Studios. Their previous game, Guacamelee!, was also available for the Wii U.
