Bleach’s Ichigo Kurosaki Bankais His Way Into Jump Force

Weekly Shonen Jump has revealed that Ichigo Kurosaki, the main protagonist of the hit manga/anime Bleach, will be playable in Bandai’s upcoming 3D crossover-fighter Jump Force.

While Ichigo’s inclusion is likely unsurprising to most, it’s worth noting that this is the first crossover game that has Ichigo sporting his Thousand Year Blood War attire, better known as his outfit from Bleach‘s final arc.

On the same page as Ichigo’s announcement, Rukia Kuchiki and Sosuke Aizen can be seen as fully modeled characters. While their playable status is unclear, the presence of these two fan favorite characters is well worth noting. The inclusion of One Piece‘s Blackbeard is also hinted at, which you can read about in more detail here.

Bleach is a manga and anime series about Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenage who becomes a supernatural “Soul Reaper”. Alongside Rukia and his other friends, Ichigo battles restless spirits called “Hollows” and corrupt Soul Reapers, among other complicated things. Bleach was considered one of Weekly Shonen Jump’s “Big Three” series in the mid-2000’s, standing alongside One Piece and Naruto as the three titans of the shonen manga industry.

Jump Force is set to come out for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2019. For all the latest news and speculation about Jump Force, stay tuned to MonsterVine.
