Ahead of Microsoft’s E3 press conference, Kingdom Hearts III received a release date of January 25, 2019 in Japan and January 29, 2019 in North America and Europe. Nomura apologized for the delay from the original 2018 release window. While no reason was given, it’s possible that the delay to January came about because of adjustments after the recent Kingdom Hearts III gameplay preview event.
Later, at the E3 press conference, a new Kingdom Hearts III trailer revealed a world based on Frozen, as well as other exciting plot developments, returning characters, and a startling twist at the end.
Kingdom Hearts III is due out for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
