The Eksa E900 headset is about what one would expect from a headset of its affordable price. The audio quality is decent and the input quality of the removable microphone is alright, but audiophiles will find more success elsewhere.

MonsterVine was supplied equipment for review
I recently had the chance to review the EKSA E900 Pro gaming headset, provided by EKSA. I took the opportunity pretty much immediately because of its sleek design and handy portability, and while it isn’t the best headset for those looking for top-quality audio output and input, it’s a great headset for anyone on a budget who wants a decent audio experience while gaming.
As I had mentioned before, the design of the headphones is quite slick. The metallic grid on each earphone looks cool while hiding some buttons and switches. You can easily adjust the volume of what you’re hearing as well as mute yourself and plug in or unplug the microphone from behind the left headphone, which is convenient without ever getting in the way of adjusting the headset.
The quality of the audio is decent with its featured 7.1 virtual surround sound, but a bit tinny. There’s a bit of an echo, but otherwise everything I listened to sounded alright. The EKSA E900 headset is wired only with a 3.5 mm jack, so it’s easy to use with most devices to listen to music, podcasts, or videos. The padding is comfortable and good for long periods of listening, which is a must with any headset. If you use the USB port on the side, the red emblems on the sides of the headset light up, which is a nice touch.
The mic quality is a bit rougher, as it comes in quite loud and clippy. I’ve included a clip below of myself reading the first line of a recent review with the microphone, so you can hear the quality for yourself and come to your own conclusions about the input quality.
The package comes with a small bag for the headset, its cord, and the microphone. Being able to carry everything around in a sleek and soft bag is certainly useful, and adds to the mobility of the headset. Being able to detach the microphone is a nice feature as well, as it lets you decide how they look when you use them, which is especially handy for if you plan to use the headset to listen to music while commuting or working.
The Final Word
The EKSA E900 Pro is a perfectly fine headset for its affordable price-point. It sounds a bit tinny and the microphone quality isn’t the best, but its sleek design, detachable mic, and comfortable frame make it a good choice for anyone looking for a cheap headset of fair quality.
